…but celery, stewed is more quietly chewed – Ogden Nash

The above poem is about texture. One of the most difficult changes in our culinary lifestyles is the texture. Today at the most informative class that Dean and his wonderful assistant (Nancy) invited us to is about changes and how we can help ourselves to a much healthier lifestyle.

When you come to bootcamp you have made a change in your lifestyle. That is step number one for many of us, MOVE THE MASS!

Step number two is eating, and changing the texture to your food can be the life or death of a lifestyle change. Do not be afraid to do something different with your food, change the texture, change the savoriness of your food, ENJOY it.

Step number three is about you. Who are you? What does you want? The most difficult person for us to get along with is US, the me, the myself, and the I. We love to slam the very being of ourselves, STOP IT! You have heard the saying” God does not make junk” You are not junk, any little step towards health is worth more than a pat on your back, Please understand that your are worth what ever makes you get healthy.

So with that said, move the mass, savor the flavor, hug the mug(you)…Fran 1800class
