Terrific Tuesday!

It was a good one wasn’t it? We got a few new exercises that worked different arm muscles. A new kettle bell exercise. High pulls  aka: ‘snowblower/wood splitter pull’, it was definitely one that required a smaller kettle bell than we are used to grabbing.

SnowblowingFor those that weren’t there, we put the kettlebell in one hand, did a squat and snapped up pulling the kettlebell up our body up to our ear in a straight line. It reminded me of pulling the lawnmower cord but since there’s snow on the ground, it becomes the snowblower. I believe there is a lawnmower dance… as well as the sprinkler, only those aren’t as strenuous! Oh joy of joys aren’t we lucky?

The second new exercise was using the TRX. One arm curls  aka: Popeye curls. ‘I yam what I yam, cuz I eat me spinach…’ They were much harder than they looked, especially since I had to pull my weight literally up by one arm – eek! Guess I had better beef up the spinach intake.

So, it was terrific Tuesday with new exercises, vertical pushups, 2leg hip/thighs, calf bounces… it was a tough one that left the arms tingling and the calves screaming. It was a workout concentrating on a different set of muscles.
